EL COLOR DE LA MEMORIA
Comencé este nuevo proyecto en los últimos meses de 2017 en Abu Dhabi.
La mayor parte de las obras son dibujos y pinturas realizadas en blanco y negro con aguadas de acrílico, grafito, carboncillo y barra conte sobre papel pegado a madera. La arena es un elemento omnipresente en todas ellas, cubriendo parcialmente y fraccionando las imágenes.
He realizado también una serie cajas de acrílico que contiene arena y un dibujo clavado en ella. Estas cajas se presentan por parejas. Las imágenes representadas en cada una de ellas están basadas en fotografías en blanco y negro de emiratos y fotografías de mi familia en España. En el reverso, como si fuera una carta postal están escritos textos. El tema de estas composiciones está basado en la memoria y en la universalidad subyacente en todas las experiencias humanas
THE COLOR OF MEMORY
I started this new project in the last months of 2017 in Abu Dhabi.
Most of the works are drawings and paintings made in black and white with acrylic, graphite, charcoal and conte stick on paper glued to wood. Sand is an omnipresent element in all of them, partially covering and dividing the images.
I have also made a series of acrylic boxes containing sand and a drawing nailed to it. These boxes are presented in pairs. The images depicted in each of them are based on black and white photographs from the emirates and photographs of my family in Spain. On the back, as if it were a postcard, texts are written. The theme of these compositions is based on memory and the universality underlying all human experiences
